Our products


Our wine-producing tradition go back to the fifties.
That is the third generation we produce the famous Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Chianti D.O.C.G., Rosso Toscano (Typical Red Tuscan Wine) Vinsanto (special sweet wine) and extravergine Olive Oil.
Our aim is reach high quality with democratic prices.
Besides Vernaccia's grape for white wines, the fields that surrounding the premises for about twenty hectars are dedicated also to Trebbiano, Chardonnais Pinot and White Malvasia, very good for Vinsanto.
Reds Wines: the prevalence belongs to Sangiovese grapes and then also Cabernet, Canaiolo, Merlot and Colorino.
We invite you for tasting our products and, why not, also to spent a good time enjoying the beauty of the farm and its landscape!


Chianti Colli Senesi << Detail
Immersed in the Sam Gimignano's green hills,the vineyards of Mattone premises, produce a ruby red wine and garnet red with an intense and fruits scent, like the real Tuscan tradition of vines expects.
It's produced with Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes and just little parts of Cabernet in order to give at the end a note of softness.
It is a perfect match for roasts, game and seasoned cheese.
Refined in bottle for at least eight months, before serving it is advisable to leave decant for about 30 minutes and to serve it at room temperature.


Rosso Toscano << Detail
The vineyards dedicated to Rosso Toscano production are characterized by ruby red–violet note. The main flavor of that vine is given by Sangiovese grapes and a small part of Canaiolo ones.
Just every typical red Tuscan vine it's exalted in couple with game, roasts and salted meats. Leave decant for at least 15 minutes and serve at room temperature.


Red table-wine << Detail
An union between Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes, thanks to his gently flavors and smell it's particularly indicated for every day meals; in particular it express its characteristic coupling to Mediterranean cooking in general.
We always advise you to serve it at room temperature.


Vernaccia di San Gimignano << Detail
Il Mattone farm, from more of thirty years, choice and selects the grapes to produce Vernaccia di san Gimignano from the homonymous vineyard. The geographical and historical origin is a warranty of quality and one of the most famous Italians vines all over the world. It' s perfect with all kind of white meats and fish, serve it at cool temperature!


Vino bianco da tavola << Detail
The old tradition of Mattone holiday farm has finally concreted the production of an agreeable taste white wine from one of the most evocative and qualified area of whole Tuscany. It's produced with Trebbiano, Malvasia and a little part of Pinot and it is characterized by a light and sparkling taste, ideal with all kind of white meats and fish, we advise to serve at cool temperature.


Vin Santo << Detail
The Vin Santo of Chianti is produced from Tuscan Malvasia, the grapes are lived on the plants as long as possible, then dried; after that we start the wine-making in kegs for a period of about three years. The unmistakable smell of Vinsanto and its sweet delicious taste are particularly appreciate in coupling with sweets, dried fruit and famous “Cantuccini Toscani” special biscuits that we use to soak in Vinsanto as dessert.


Extra vergine olive oil << Detail
Extravergine olive oil is produced from high quality olives and, respecting our old tradition they are hand-picked and crushed not after 24/48 hours before the crop in order to obtain a high quality of the final product and maintain its healthy properties. The cultivar (or species of olive three) utilized for our olive oil are essentially the most important of Tuscan's tradition: Moraiolo, Correggiolo and Leccino.
